    Responsibilities

    Assist Barn Technician team in weekly cleaning and preparation of Farrowing Rooms to include:

    • Room breakdown: Break down sow pens and remove all feeders.
    • Scrape pens to remove all loose organic matter
    • Power wash farrowing room from ceiling to floor post presoak
    • Ensure all organic matter has been removed prior to final disinfection spray
    • Assist in power washing hallways
    • Engage Barn Manager for final inspection and sign off
    • Room set up post disinfection: Open all pen gates, replace feeders, and tubes.

     

    Additional duties upon request may include assisting in weekly cleaning of administrative office areas to include:

    • Laundry - Washing of towels, and TM coveralls
    • Sweeping of all common areas
    • Mopping of all common areas
    • Clean showering and bathroom areas

    Qualifications

    ENTRY LEVEL REQUIREMENTS:

     

    • No experience necessary.
    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Must be willing to learn to understand animal behaviors.
    • Must be able to tolerate animal dander, manure, dust, odors, and frequently noisy conditions. 
    • Must be able to multi-task and is a team player.
    • Must understand that the Company is a producer of high quality pork and be supportive of the mission of raising swine for meat.
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
