    We’re Hiring a Accounting Supervisor for our Middletown, PA office. In this role, you will provide financial support to the Country View Family Farm Teams, both in the office, on the farms and out in the field. You will report to the Controller and be a vital component in the success of our daily operations.

    Responsibilities

    What You Would Be Doing

    • Oversee the GL Accounting processes to ensure teams are meeting stakeholder expectations.
    • Execute the annual performance evaluation process for team.
    • Accountable to accuracy and timing of consolidated financial statements and assurance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
    • Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly close process.
    • Create and maintain a monthly, balance sheet and income statement fluctuation analysis that identifies key variances and assign the necessary follow up with the respective general ledger accountant(s).
    • Review of weekly GAAP Operating Income Flash Report with adjustments completed and followed with team as necessary.
    • Create and communicate a monthly level financial summary (walkdown) that outlines key controllable variances to the Plan with direct Supervisor.
    • Maintain cross-functional visibility, communication and coordination to ensure the business is informed of financial performance versus plan.
    • Perform special projects and financial analysis to support the business needs as requested.
    • Support business owners in the timely submission of forecasted spending.
    • Submission of non-functional area items for forecasting, including revenue, COGS, YOY improvements, etc.
    • Support the annual external financial audit by serving as the internal contact for our external auditors.
    • Support insurance renewal requests
    • Implementation of new Accounting Pronouncements that impact the business.
    • Participate in functional/business review meetings with business owners.

    Qualifications

    This Role is for You if:

    • You have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, with 5 to 7 years Accounting Experience, and 2-3 years manufacturing audit experience with a public accounting firm (Big 4 a plus).
    • You are detail-oriented with the ability to review processes and identify internal control gaps.
    • You have strong organizational and time management skills.
    • You have the ability to interact with Team Members and Vendors in a professional and courteous manner.
    • You possess good computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office programs and accounting programs; advanced proficiency in Excel.
    • You have the ability to: readily modify, respond to and integrate change with minimal personal resistance; identify elements of a problem situation and understand which components are critical.
    • You have the ability to quickly recover from adversity; stay on course in times of difficulty; handle rejection on a personal level based on self-esteem; direct one's energies towards the completion of a goal without an external catalyst.
